I wanted to create a tumblog dedicated to funny, inspirational, or thought-provoking posts about inconvenient love. A tumblog to pay homage to your love that you will not give up on even though it is inconvenient.

Inconvenient love is any love that has a serious struggle to just be together attached to it. Whether it be a lover who is across the world, a lover who doesn’t share your feelings, or someone whose family or society says you can’t be together. Basically any big obstacle that makes your love inconvenient (nothing is “impossible”!)

Hopefully lovers who don’t necessarily have to deal with these kinds of inconveniences can still find some posts they can connect to.

So if you’d like to have you.bitchin.me, look no further. Ranting or opinionated blogs would be ideal, but that doesn’t necessarily need to be the case. If you like the domain, apply for hosting!

I might also include a blog for myself, to voice opinions or rantings. As if I needed any more excuses to complain. Ha! Maybe a group blog? I still haven’t decided. Ideas? We shall see where it goes!…

I am now offering free subdomain hosting at the Silencia Network! More projects to come.

I am mostly interested in hosting blogs and personal websites. Blogs can be centered on personal happenings, opinions, political leanings, values, current events, etc. Reviews of products or events the blogger feels strongly about. Other types of websites I’d like to host: web/graphic/photography/writing portfolios, group blogs, collectives of other websites, fun projects like cliques or contests. Maybe even some fansites or fanlistings! Other types of websites might be welcome; these are just the ones I most have in mind.

I have not yet decided if I will offer paid domain hosting yet. Silencia is on a reseller account, but I would still need to look into the legal and technical aspects of offering paid hosting. With only a limited amount of time to dedicate to the network, I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew!

Glitter’s general aim and purpose is to list as many sites as possible, so that visitors may find sites they are looking for or may otherwise be interested in visiting. This directory also allows website owners to increase their “hits,” or site traffic. Very few good web directories exist similar to Glitter—though many less reliable directories are out there.

Glitter was originally created by Michelle in late April 2002. Michelle wanted to bring together a reliable, easily-accessible list of sites for others to browse through. All links here are monitored and checked semi-regularly, to ensure that as few broken or outdated links as possible remain in the directory. Sites containing what we might deem as inappropriate will not be listed here.

Though the directory is now under the general care of Ang and Shannon, 99.9% of the praise should definitely go to Michelle.
