Silencia Network is here!
So after letting Silencia sit essentially dormant for years, hosting only the Glitter Web Directory, I decided it was finally time to do something constructive with it. I am now offering free subdomain hosting at the Silencia Network! More projects to come.
I am mostly interested in hosting blogs and personal websites. Blogs can be centered on personal happenings, opinions, political leanings, values, current events, etc. Reviews of products or events the blogger feels strongly about. Other types of websites I’d like to host: web/graphic/photography/writing portfolios, group blogs, collectives of other websites, fun projects like cliques or contests. Maybe even some fansites or fanlistings! Other types of websites might be welcome; these are just the ones I most have in mind.
I have not yet decided if I will offer paid domain hosting yet. Silencia is on a reseller account, but I would still need to look into the legal and technical aspects of offering paid hosting. With only a limited amount of time to dedicate to the network, I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew!
